Teucrium chamaedrys is an attractive, clean looking plant that is perfect for a low hedge or edging in plant beds. It spreads by underground rhizomes and and is very attractive to bees and butterflies. It features small, dark green leaves with deeply serrated edges. In late spring, spikes of magenta-pink colored flowers rise above the foliage. Teucrium does bes tin full sun with moderate water. While tolerant of most any soil, it looks best with late winter shearing for dense growtht the following year
