Oxalis is an evergreen tuft-forming and fast spreading ground cover. It reaches to 1″ tall with decorative trifoliate clover-like leaves. Its roots are often tuberous and succulent-like. An abundance of 1″ wide, white/pink flowers with yellow stamens appear in late winter just above the foliage. Flowering continues through early summer. Oxalis prefers light shade and regular watering. It can grow in full coastal sun in the Bay Area but does better with light morning sun and partial shade.
