Festuca glauca ‘Elijah Blue’ is an evergreen clumping, ornamental grass that features distinctive, soft, finely-textured, silver-blue foliage. It performs best in moist, well-draining soil even in full coastal sun. This is a great solution for mass planting as a ground cover or to make a textural statement in the landscape. Very hot, direct summer sun in inland Bay Areas may burn this plant. It’s Summer-Dry tolerant once established and over-watering during the growing season should be avoided. It looks best when trimmed annually during cooler months as this helps foster new growth.
