Ceanothus ‘Ray Hartman’ is an extremely hardy CA native evergreen shrub or tree that can grow to 15′. Flowers are light to medium blue on flower spikes and the 3-5″ long leaves are glossy and dark-green. It grows quickly and does well in heavy soils or sand with an upright form. It can be trained as a single trunk standard or low-branched to work as a very effective hedge. This is a beautiful, long-lived plant that pollinators love.
