Rosa banksiae var. Banksiae is a magnificent, climbing,  double, white-flowered Rose that can grow quite large to easily cover a wall or structure. This hardy, fast-growing rose needs full sun and prefers low to moderate water to perform well. It flowers on nearly thorn-free branches in early to mid-spring with blossoms that have a violet fragrance. This is an excellent choice for climbing arbors and trellises in Bay Area landscapes.
